On December 31st, 2003 my father married his companion of the last 7 years, Pamela Stanley in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The wedding was held at their church, and the reception at a hotel in downtown Albuquerque. The reception peaked at midnight, when the year changed to 2004. I traveled to New Mexico by car with my long-time road trip companion Vince Firn, one of my very best friends. The wedding was unique and special, my siblings and I all read scripture as part of the service, and the wedding reception was an absolute blast. Vince and I left early the next morning to drive up to Denver, where we watched the Rose Bowl and spent a few days with Brock. We went skiing, hung out with old friends Mike Crandall and Rob Rice, and managed to make it 1,500 miles back across the country in the middle of a blizzard.
