Mexico

In April of 2004, Roxie and I took a trip from the Caribbean to the Pacific coast of Mexico to spend a week with my mother, step-father and brothers in beautiful Puerto Vallarta.  It was the first time that anyone in my family except for my sister Lindsey or cousin Tara had met Roxie, and it was the first time for Roxie in a Spanish-speaking country.  Because of the United State's wonderful immigration laws, Roxie and I had to fly from St. Vincent to Barbados to Toronto and then from Toronto to Mexico City to Puerta Vallarta, because we would not have been able to get Roxie a visa to simply pass through the United States en route to Mexico.  We didn't mind the extra traveling too much, as we got to see some pretty cool things from the sky. Like everyone I know who visits Puerto Vallarta, Roxie absolutely loved it, and we are itching to go back one day very soon.  And, like nearly everyone I know who has met Roxie, my family loved her.
