New Years Eve 2005 I returned to Mustique on December 30, 2004, just in time to celebrate New Years with my fiancé Roxie. From what I had heard during the years that I have been living in St. Vincent, Basil's Bar is the place to be for the new year. I invited Mike Kenlay, a Peace Corps volunteer, and his girlfriend Latoya to the Mustique for the weekend, the highlight being New Year's Eve at Basil's. We had a great time. We didn't leave Basil's until six in the morning, and were among the first to leave when we did. I was glad to be back in Mustique and celebrating the beginning of the year that would mark the beginning of my own family. Unfortunately, Michigan lost to Texas in the Rose Bowl the next day.
